Macroom/Bandon area
Conveniently located on the main Killarney-Cork Road (N-22), the Coolcower House is approximately one mile southeast of Macroom. Situated to provide easy access to several area historic monuments and our Rally site, it is also an easy drive to Blarney, Cobh, Kinsale, Bantry and Killarney.
Coolcower House to Gougane Barra
From Coolcower House, turn left on N-22 (toward Macroom), then turn left on R584 (there is a brown and white "Gougane Barra" sign at that intersection. Continue On R584 through Ballingeary to Inchibeg. There is a turn-off road that is also sign-posted for Gougane Barra. The total distance is 32 km and is estimated to be a 35-minute drive, as it is an R road.
